Hog Haven Farm is a recognized 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization in Byers, Colorado. Our mission is to provide a safe, happy home for potbellied pigs that are rescued from situations of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We promote pigs as the third domesticated pet, and provide therapy and outreach programs with our pigs.

Our Outreach Team is dedicated to providing educational programs on potbellied pigs as domesticated pets. We strive to teach compassion for all animals by educating youth and adults on these creatures through a variety of programs, including pet therapy, library and school visits.

  • School and library visits across the Denver Metro area

Erin Brinkley-Burgardt & Andrew Burgardt

Erin and Andrew jumped into the wonderful world of potbellied pig ownership in 2013, with no experience and after very little research. The journey has been amazing and incredibly rewarding, but they realized a much greater need for educational programs and community outreach for potbelly pigs and other animals considered to be livestock. The idea of Hog Haven Farm came to fruition early 2014, and the sanctuary became a reality summer of 2015.
